This year, the AFC Elementary and AFC Jr/Sr High students will honor our local Veterans on Veterans’ Day with a joint assembly held at the Jr/Sr High School. Community members are encouraged to attend and enjoy music, speakers, and time to honor those in our community. Doors open at 9:15 am. The assembly will take place in the High School gym, enter through the athletics entrance, door 16. The assembly will begin at 9:30 am and conclude with special honors at 11:11 am, presented by the Ashton American Legion.
A special invitation to our community veterans and their families: please join us for coffee, donuts, and fellowship from 8:15-9:15 am before the assembly. If you plan to attend the breakfast, email Mrs Hurt mhurt@afcschools.net or turn in the form that will be sent home with students so we may plan accordingly. Whether you have a family member that attends AFC or just a proud member of our communities, we hope to see you there!
