Scholarships for graduating seniors have been posted! https://www.afcschools.net/page/afc-scholarships
All applications should be returned to the Jr/Sr High office by March 15th.
We are fortunate to have so many kind families and organizations that invest in AFC students. Please take a moment to hear from one of those families; the Moye family have created a video with the history, purpose, and requirements of their scholarship.

Congratulations to our Raiders of the Week, Lauren and Alexis. Lauren has been absolutely rocking Academic Bowl! She is consistent, a fantastic team player, and a great positive voice for everyone on the team. Alexis has been dominant on the basketball court the past few weeks. She is the definition of hustle and grit, and if there is a loose ball you can bet she's diving for it. We are so proud of both of these ladies and the way they carry themselves both at school and beyond. Congrats Lauren and Alexis!

This week at AFC (February 5 - February 10)

AFC Sophomores had a chance to visit WACC (Whiteside Area Career Center) to preview ALL the opportunities available to them over the next two years. Options include Healthcare, Cosmology, Welding, Early Childhood, Automotive, Building Trades, Computer Repair, Culinary, Digital Media and Design and I'm sure there was more. Please talk to your sophomores about what they saw today and encourage them to take advantage of one of these opportunities. It's a great way for kids to experiment with a career choice and regardless, most of these classes involve life skills such as basic auto maintenance, cooking, wound, care, etc.
