Added Games:
2 games have been added to the JV baseball schedule. They will play at Annawan on Wednesday, 4/26 at 4:30. The address of the field is Howes Park, 314 N State St. Annawan.
The 2nd added game will be at Amboy on Monday, May 1 at 4:30. These games will be added to the athletics site as well as the school calendar.

It was brought to our attention that today's early dismissal is not on the AFC calendar. Today is a regular early dismissal Wednesday for all AFC students. The ES will dismiss at 1:30 and the Jr/Sr High School will dismiss at 1:45.

We are trying to outsmart Mother Nature! The softball and baseball games that were originally scheduled for Thursday, have been moved to tomorrow. Same time and place: SB/BB vs. Milledgeville 4/19 at 4:30. JV baseball will follow varsity baseball with 3-5 innings.

Dear AFC Families,
Today, AFC administration was made aware of a text message threatening the safety of students at AFC Elementary School. We immediately contacted law enforcement authorities. The Lee County Sheriff’s Department determined the threat was not credible and there is no current threat to the safety of AFC students or staff.
Out of an abundance of caution there will be an enhanced police presence at the elementary school tomorrow, April 17th. We encourage you to speak with your children about the importance of reporting threats to an adult immediately as our student's safety is always our number one priority.

3/22- Winning Pitcher, Throws a no-hitter, strikes out 11
3/23- Hits a Home Run in the Top of the 5th that adds a big insurance run in a win over Fulton.
3/24- Throws 2 runners out at the plate from centerfield
3/28- Winning pitcher, gives up 1 hit, 2 ER, strikes out 7
