NHS sponsored a Career Day for the High School students. We had representatives from Com Ed, the Healthcare field, a Pharmacist, an Entrepreneur, a College Professor and a Farmer. The program was well received. Thank you to our speakers: Brooke Horner, Chris Rockwood, Demitri and Allison Lahman, Ermir Ramadani, Lirim Mimini and Mike Messer.

Students in the Horticulture class took on the challenge of designing a dress with cut flowers after watching an episode of The Big Flower Fight. The results turned out pretty creative!
Due to the cold temperatures in the morning, tomorrow's baseball games at Oregon are moved back an hour. The varsity will start at 11:00 and JV will follow! Fingers crossed this is the end of the cold weather!

Become a softball and/or baseball umpire for high school and youth levels through Sports Officiating 101. With over 30 years of coaching and umpiring experience, the instructor will prepare you for an exciting and fulfilling part-time job of working with young athletes on local ball diamonds. Your training includes field work, videos, guest speakers, reading and observation assignments, and online assessments. This class will prepare students to sit for the IHSA softball and/or baseball umpire exam.
Ages 15 and up
Mondays and Wednesdays; June 19 – August 16 (16 sessions); 6:00-7:30 p.m. SVCC RM2C10

2 games have been added to the JV baseball schedule. They will play at Annawan on Wednesday, 4/26 at 4:30. The address of the field is Howes Park, 314 N State St. Annawan.
The 2nd added game will be at Amboy on Monday, May 1 at 4:30. These games will be added to the athletics site as well as the school calendar.
