Join us tomorrow in honoring and celebrating Henry during OI Awareness Wishbone day by wearing yellow. OI is a collagen disorder caused by a gene mutation that affects bone formation/strength and the structure of other tissues. Individuals with OI may experience hundreds of fractures over a lifetime.

Current 6th and 8th grade students, along with their guardians, are invited to Orientation on May 13, 6:00 p.m., at the Jr/Sr High School. On May 1st, Kate Viall participated in the District 1 Creed Speaking Leadership Development Event. Ten first-year FFA members presented the FFA Creed to a panel of judges and answered questions about the Creed's purpose and their interpretations of its words. Kate received fourth place overall. Congratulations! #AFCFFA

This year, the Junior class built a wooden pergola for the AFC Prom Grand March. Now that Prom is over, they are looking for buyers to purchase the arch!

Congratulations to our Raiders of the Week, Hailey and Kylie! These two have been rocking it on the track and softball fields. Hailey has been outstanding in the long jump, the 200, and the 4X200 relay. Kylie has been phenomenal behind the plate, as well as with the bat. AFC Choir students enjoyed a fantastic concert at NIU this weekend followed by dinner at Portillo’s. These Raiders had a great time!

Nineteen AFC High Schoolers attending Manufacturing Day. They toured Crest Foods and Donaldson, along with learning about the Manufacturing Pathway Endorsement and putting their manufacturing skills to the test while making cars to race.

Six AFC FFA members attended the Middle School FFA Leadership Conference hosted at Sauk Valley Community College. Our members interacted with other middle school members, Section President, and current and former State FFA Officers. They also received a tour of SVCC. #AFCFFA
