On Saturday, Andrea Buhrow and Mallory Henert both interviewed for their State FFA Degree and both members are being recommended to the state for their State FFA Degree. The State FFA Degree is the highest degree that Illinois FFA can award a member. In order to achieve this, members must keep recordbooks on a Supervised Agricultural Experience(SAE)throughout their time in FFA, maintain their GPA, participate in community service and show leadership in the organization. Mallory is being recommended based on her SAE's for food service, managing the farmer's market and hog cooperative. Andrea is being recommended for her SAE involving her u-pick flowers and bouquet subscriptions. In addition to being recommended for her State Degree, Andrea also was recognized as the Section 2 Star in Agribusiness. She will compete at the district level in March. Congratulations!
