On Friday (9/1), our 8th grade and Junior American History students had the incredible opportunity to visit the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall at its stop in Rock Falls. While a 3/5 replica in size, the impact was full scale. The students got to experience the magnitude of the 58,307 service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. Students got to shake the hands of Vietnam Veterans and thanked them for their service. Others found the names of family members who have had their names immortalized on the wall in Washington D.C. Overall, the trip was a wonderful experience, and one that won't soon be forgotten! Thank you to Mr Cissna & Mr Treadwell for organizing such a unique learning opportunity to tie back to your classrooms!

AFC Elementary School is seeking applicants for a Paraprofessional position.
AFC Jr Sr High School alarm system was activated around 11:50. The Ashton Fire Dept has cleared the building and determined it was an alarm malfunction. All student and staff are safe and secure and able to resume the school day.
