Thank you to the PTC for organizing and funding the 7th & 8th grade field trip to The Rink at Pine Creek this past Friday. The students had a lot of fun. We appreciate everything the PTC does to support and create opportunities for AFC students. Thank you also to all of the volunteer chaperones that made this event go so smoothly.

Parents of Seniors:
Seniors have been invited to select and personalize a parking space at the Jr/Sr High School. All (well, a lot anyway) pertinent information is posted in the photos below. Please read through it and let Mrs. Coffman know if you have any questions lcoffman@afcschools.net . A copy of this information has been passed out to your student. Money and designs are due Monday. #classof2023 #seniors

Good Afternoon, This message is being sent to clarify reports that the Junior-Senior High School was placed on “Lockdown” this morning. The use of the term "Lockdown" is very specific and related to school safety and security. While dealing with a student issue, teachers were asked to keep students in class delaying the normal passing period. This lasted less than 5 minutes and then students went on with the daily routine. At no time was the safety of students and staff at risk. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Michael Lindy, AFC Superintendent

For all high school volleyball parents:
Here are the schedules for tournaments this Saturday:
Fr/So @ Oregon will play at 9:00, 11:00, and 1:00.
Varsity @ Mercer County will play at 8:00, 10:00, and 12:00. If they win their pool, they will play at 3:00, otherwise they are done after 12:00 game. These games will be held at Mercer County Junior High School, 1002 SW 6th St, Aledo. They have construction going on at their high school, so games are being held at another site.

We are thankful for student volunteers like Miss Winterland. Each day she ensures our student walkers make it home safely.

Thank you to everyone who has helped the AFC FFA collect caps over the years! The company we use is going out of business at the end of the month so we will no longer be collecting caps! #AFCFFA
