A 6th grade boys basketball coach has been found! Practices will begin on Wednesday, October 6. Due to conflicts, practices are scheduled from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the elementary school. Parents of the players are asked to come to the first 15 minutes of practice on Wednesday to meet the coach, discuss needed paperwork, and give coach contact information. AFCES Families,
This is a friendly reminder that we are hosting our Family Fun Night tomorrow from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at AFC Elementary School. Please enter through Door 6 (cafeteria) as this is where you will receive your treasure map and begin your adventure. We hope to see everyone there!

It is with sorrow that AFC has to announce that we will be canceling the rest of the varsity football season. We have to look out for the safety of our team and feel this is the best option for our football program at this time. We still plan on playing JV games when possible . JV will play Milledgeville on Monday, October 18 and will play Orangeville on Friday, October 22 in place of the varsity game that was originally scheduled. As the schedule gets updated, announcements will be posted. AFC thanks you for your understanding.

*Attention AFC Elementary School Parents*
A friendly reminder that students should NOT be on the playground prior to 8:00 AM without the supervision of a parent/guardian. If your child is arriving prior to 8:00 AM, the parent/guardian dropping them off should stay until the doors open at 8:00 AM. If your child is a bike rider or walker, please remind them they should leave at the appropriate time to arrive at school at 8:00 AM.
Also, bike/scooter riders should be reminded that once they are on school property they need to step off their bike/scooter and immediately walk the bike/scooter to the bike rack. Students should not be riding their bikes/scooters on the playground as it is a safety concern.
I appreciate your assistance with this matter as we strive to continue to create a safe playground environment for ALL students.
Fall sports pics will be taken on Tuesday, September 28. All volleyball and football, 6/7/8 grade and high school, will be taken at that time. The company that took school pictures will be used for the sports pictures as well. The athletes will be given a code and parents can view pictures online and order packages online. Athletes should bring uniforms with them on Tuesday the 28th. Any questions can be directed to Traci Gittleson at tgittleson@afcschools.net.
