Anyone interested in coaching, or knows someone who may be interested in coaching, 6th grade boys basketball should contact Traci Gittleson at tgittleson@afcschools.net. Practices can start as early as October 4th, with the first game scheduled for October 19. If a coach can not be found, the season will be canceled.

Just a reminder that tonight's high school volleyball game is a varsity only game beginning at 6:00. The team is doing a fundraiser for Maddie (Degelau) Armstrong, which will include a bake sale and raffles.
Thursday's high school volleyball game will also be varsity only and will also be a 6:00 start.

Online registration is now open for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys basketball. If your son plans on participating in basketball, they need to be registered online. We are so excited to announce the AFCES Family Fun Night is BACK! Please see the attached flyer for more details. You do NOT want to miss this fun-filled event.
Students will be bringing home a flyer on Monday. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the bottom portion of the flyer and send it back to school with your child as soon as possible. There are plenty of opportunities for you to be involved.

Picture retakes are scheduled for Tuesday, October 19th, for both the elementary and junior/senior high school. Please keep this in mind if your student was absent today or does not like the school picture that was taken today. A reminder will be sent as the date draws closer!

CHANGE IN SCHEDULE:
The high school volleyball games this week and next week will be varsity only games. Tonight vs. Fulton, Thursday at Forreston, and Tuesday vs. Amboy will all be varsity games that start at 6:00. The game vs. Polo on 9/23 will be varsity only, but the time has not yet been determined.
The JV will not be participating in the Oregon tournament on Saturday, 9/18.
