Picture retakes are scheduled for Tuesday, October 19th, for both the elementary and junior/senior high school. Please keep this in mind if your student was absent today or does not like the school picture that was taken today. A reminder will be sent as the date draws closer!
AFC is in search of a 6th grade boys basketball coach. Practices can start as early as October 4th. The first game is October 19. Knowledge of the game and ability to work with kids are necessary skills needed. If interested or know of anyone interested, please contact Traci Gittleson at tgittleson@afcschools.net.

CHANGE IN SCHEDULE:
The high school volleyball games this week and next week will be varsity only games. Tonight vs. Fulton, Thursday at Forreston, and Tuesday vs. Amboy will all be varsity games that start at 6:00. The game vs. Polo on 9/23 will be varsity only, but the time has not yet been determined.
The JV will not be participating in the Oregon tournament on Saturday, 9/18.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, there have been a couple of changes made to the 6,7, & 8 grade volleyball schedules.
1) The 6th grade will now travel with the 7th and 8th grade tomorrow to Pecatonica. Each level will play 3 sets, with the 6th grade beginning at 4:00, 7th grade at 5:00, and 8th grade at 6:00.
2) The games versus Challand on 9/15 will now begin at 5:00 instead of 4:00. 6th (ES) and 7th (Jr/Sr HS) will begin at 4:00 and 8th grade (Jr/Sr HS) will start at 5:00.

Tonight's middle school football game will begin at 5:30 instead of 5:00. The game will be held at Mel Barron Field in Franklin Grove. There will not be any concessions available at game.

AFC Jr/Sr High School is in need of a substitute paraprofessional from October 4-November 12. The hours are 8-3:30 every day. Please email Kim Torman at ktorman@afcschools.net or call at 815-453-7461. Mrs. Torman is happy to explain how to get the proper license! Please see attached images for some additional information on licensing. The paraprofessional license and the substitute teacher license would work for this position.
Last week, the AFC FFA picked up it's first picnic table from Green Tree Plastics - ABC Partnership. We are still collecting caps in order to get a second, matching table for in front of the school #AFCFFA
