Congratulations to Kate Viall on placing 1st in the Section 2 Ag Ed Career Development Event last night in Oregon. Kate prepared and presented an agricultural education lesson about the agricultural impact of World War II and the Women's Land Army. Good evening. This is AFC superintendent Michael Lindy writing to inform you that all AFC schools and programs, including WACC, will be closed and all extracurricular activities are cancelled tomorrow, January 16th due to extreme temperatures.
Congratulations to our Raiders of the Week - Brianna and Cameryn. These two have had a great few weeks on the basketball court! They helped lead the Lady Raiders to 2 big conference wins over break, and continuously show up and put in the work. These two ladies are great teammates and are always willing to help others both on the court and in the classroom. Keep working hard and making us proud. Congratulations, Bri and Cam!

Saturday's (1/13) boys basketball game at Earlville has been postponed. The make up date is Friday, 1/19 AFC @ Earlville. JV starts at 5:30 with Varsity to follow
January 25th we will host a coffee hour with community members to share the most recent updates within the district. Please share with other AFC community members.
We ask that attendees arrive at 8:30 to allow students to transition to class prior to the community coffee gathering.

High school science has been busy the last few weeks. Students have created milk plastic, mouse trap cars, and Rube Goldberg machines. They have also studied enzymes and acid/base reactions.
Congratulations to our Raider of the Week - Mallory. She was nominated for many reasons! She does stats for the girls basketball team, and loves being there to support her friends. Mallory helps with many things at AFC, and brings so many great ideas every day. She is a positive person who is always putting others first. Too often her positivity and selflessness go unnoticed, which is why I am thrilled for her nominations. Congratulations, Mallory!
