The AFC FFA would like to thank you for your incredible generosity! The food drive for the Ashton Care Pantry was a huge success. You can still donate by bringing items to the high school. Together, we’ve made a difference for families in need, ensuring they’ll have meals to enjoy this season. #AFCFFA

A group of AFC high school students attended NIU Preview Day this week to check out the campus and learn more about what it is like to be a Huskie. Students heard from admissions, financial aid, and housing, went on a campus tour, had lunch on campus, and then engaged in a panel with AFC alumni and AFC Board Member Mrs. Buhrow. We have been incredibly lucky to have Mrs. Buhrow arrange this opportunity for the second year in a row, specifically for our AFC students. Connecting with past AFC alumni helps make a 4-year college like NIU feel more accessible and attainable.

We are excited to remind you that tomorrow we will hold our Veterans Day Assembly to honor and celebrate those who have bravely served our country. It is a special time for us to express our gratitude and learn about the importance of service and sacrifice. Donations for the Honor Flight are also being accepted. We invite members of the AFC Community to join us. The assembly will begin at 1:30 at AFC Elementary School, and doors will open at 1:15. Please use Door 2. Additionally, we are kicking off Anti-Bullying Week with a theme that brings our community together: “America is Against Bullying!” We encourage all students to wear red, white, and blue tomorrow as a symbol of support for our Veterans and as a stand against bullying. We look forward to a meaningful day of reflection, learning, and community spirit. Thank you for your support in making these events impactful for our students.
