Our students are diving into the world of DNA and replication, and last week, they took it a step further by extracting DNA from strawberries! A hands-on way to see science come to life and better understand the building blocks of all living things.

Our 2nd graders are bringing geometry to life! 🎨📐
During their shapes unit, students are using creativity and math skills to design beautiful pictures made entirely of shapes. From triangles to circles and everything in between, they’re showing that math can be both fun and artistic! ✨

The Village of Progress partnered with the Agricultural Mechanics program to create custom cutting boards for Village of Progress consumers. Students in Mrs. McMillan’s Agricultural Construction and Mechanics class reviewed shop safety standards and worked alongside Jeremy and Candice to guide them through the cutting board construction process. We are proud to collaborate with community organizations to support hands-on learning and foster a shared environment of growth and skill development.

Almost the entire NHS crew spent Tuesday serving at Feed My Starving Children in Aurora, where they helped build boxes and pack meals for children around the world. Their efforts made a big difference. The meals packed during their session will help feed 48 children for an entire year. We are proud of their commitment to service.
