Dear Parents and Guardians,
This morning, an elementary student found a small-caliber rimfire bullet on the bus. The student turned the item in to the principal upon arrival at school. As a precaution, school administration immediately contacted the Lee County Sheriff’s Department, and a thorough investigation was conducted.
We are pleased to inform you that the investigation has determined that this was an isolated event and that there is no threat to the safety of students or staff. We take every matter involving the safety of our students very seriously and will continue to take all necessary steps to maintain a secure environment for everyone.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Michael Lindy, Superintendent
Ashton-Franklin Center CUSD #275

Please see the flyer for a tutoring opportunity for 6-8 students at SVCC.

Band and Choir students attended the NUIC South Festival and the Rt. 72 Festival this month. At these festivals, band and choir students worked with other music students in the area to put together a concert in a day or less. This opportunity allows students to perform in a larger ensemble than they would on a typical day.
