After a week of practice and preparation before taking the ACT, the junior class celebrated with a very sugary cereal party. Well done, students, and a huge thank you to Mrs. Herwig for setting us up for success!

Ten of our AFC junior high agriculture students joined more than 100 peers at the Junior High Conference. Students spent the day learning about their personalities, discovering FFA opportunities, and building ideas for how to get more involved back at school.

First Grade just finished up a math unit that focused on addition and subtraction strategies. The best part was also learning about different kinds of penguins which anchored our work on some big first grade math concepts like doubles facts, fact families, story problems, measurement, and skip counting. Check out our observations on our penguin pairs!

Growing their learning, one seed at a time! 🌱 Mrs. Holmgren’s 2nd graders planted two different seeds as part of their study on the life cycle of plants. In the coming weeks, they’ll observe, measure, and track their growth—building science skills along the way. Stay tuned as we share updates on their plants’ journey!
